Albert is highly intelligent, independent and college bound. Tuition is...delayed. Albert's dad is an irresponsible gambling addict who spends his last laundry quarters at the tracks. Lucy is a privileged young woman living to rebel against whoever it is she thinks her mother wants her to be. Margaret, Lucy's mother, is a functioning alcoholic whose thoughts are relics of times she refuses to discuss.
Albert and Lucy are finally free. And so... they find each other.
